Peaceful Location

I brought my grandchildren down to stay in the Hostel and found it well equipped and ideal for us. Tom was most helpful, friendly and accommodating. It was a pleasure staying there as well as meeting him. Many thanks Tom and would highly recommend Granary Barn!

A Memorable Experience

A peaceful site, just outside Helston,. It is well run by Tom & is a good base for Porthleven which is good for swimming and eating.Tom couldn't do enough for us .. and even opened up his hostel for the campers to watch the World Cup. He supplied bubbly in the event of England winning ( which we did )Reasonably priced with hot showers an extra . A welcome addition was free WifFiIt's testament to The Granary Barn welcome that we stayed longer than our intention & even returned on our return ...Thanks Tom from Pam & Mike , in Hendrix, the VW camper van

Perfect base to explore Cornwall from

We wanted a relaxed, peaceful campsite in a location good to explore the Lizard and that's what we found at the granary barn campsite. Tom gave us a warm welcome and made sure our stay was enjoyable. We ended up staying twice as long as we initially planned as we didnt want to leave. This campsite is amazing value, two big fields to choose from, plenty of space, warm showers and a such a good base for exploring Cornwall. Thanks Tom and Flash.

Fabulous family friendly

We had a great time at the Granary barn camping. Children all played together, football frisbee, well into the night leaving the adults to sit around the fire. What a lovely place and so much space to pitch a tent! Definitely come back thanks Tom for a great experience , and obviously added enjoyment for kids of Flash the dog. Beaches very near and beautiful as was Porthleven. Very central - highly recommended.

Had an amazing stay here. Tom is absolutely lovely, the facilities were fantastic, atmosphere was great and the setting is gorgeous. The campsite is in a good location with some great beaches in easy driving distance. Thanks for a wonderful holiday. I would highly recommend staying here.

Best welcome we've ever had

I could go on about how good the facilities were, especially important given it didn't stop raining until the morning we left (dry tent at least!!). However, by far and away the best thing about this site is the owner Tom. We've never been made to feel so welcome on a site and he is always up for a chat or there to help out if there is an issue. Tom makes an effort to get to know everyone, inviting us over to the hostel on one night to share some wine with the other guests - great conversation and great company. Little things like this go a very long way especially when the weather is making things a challenge!!

Great place to stay

We were walking part of the coast path and wanted a simple campsite with just the right level of home comfort i.e. a hot shower, clean toilets, somewhere to wash up. This fitted the bill perfectly with extras like a fridge and a microwave. Two fields to choose a pitch in, not too far from the aforementioned home comforts and we were happy. However, what made this site perfect was our very friendly host, Tom, who was so helpful, particularly in giving us lifts to and from Helston and Porthleven morning and evening, accompanied by his faithful dog Flash looking after our bags in the back of the car! We just had to phone when we got off the bus and he would come and meet us at a place of our choosing. We were also able to leave our car for a couple of nights while walking further afield, knowing it was quite safe. All charges were excellent value for money. We would not hesitate to camp there again - maybe one day when our Coast Path project is complete! Thank you, Tom, we loved camping with you.

Brilliant Weekend

I posted a review just after our stay last month but I don't think it saved, so I'm posting it again as I'm keen to ensure Tom and his farm get the praise it deserves! We came here for the August bank holiday after reading the reviews and looking at many other sites. As a family, we've been camping for ten years now and this site is head and shoulders above all the others. It's position for exploring the coast is perfect with the stunning harbour village of Porthleven only 5 minutes down the road. This is a beautiful place to spend the whole day, with its beaches, family friendly restaurants and pubs and amazing views.40 mins up the road is the Eden Project where you spend another family day out. Then there's Tom and the site itself. Tom did everything he could to make sure our stay was as much fun as possible, helping us get a campfire going on our first night so we could toast marshmallows. This is a nice relaxed site and you can take your pick of spots anywhere in 2 large fields. The facilities are clean and excellent, with even a washing machine and microwave. We'll be back next year for sure! Thanks Tom... Lee, Evee, Oscar & Arlow

You will simply not find a better B&B in Cornwall than this. The farmhouse is full of "Olde Worlde" charm and also has every modern comfort. The location, surrounded by Cornish countryside is convenient for just about anywhere you might want to visit for a day out.Perfect for summer beach holidays and winter retreats alike.

There is a warm welcome and Tom has paid great attention to detail to make sure your stay is an enjoyable experience. Friendly but also peaceful and offering complete privacy, and good value as well.A place you will want to keep going back to.
